Required Materials:

  • 2.0mm crochet hook
  • 4-ply cotton yarn: Select any color(s) based on your preference.

Important Notes:

  1. The crochet flower is created in multiple rounds using a combination of single crochet (sc), chain stitches (ch), slip stitches (slst), and loops.
  2. Ensure you change yarn color after completing the flower’s main part to add decorative petals.
  3. For accuracy, follow each stitch pattern carefully as described or shown in the video tutorial.
  4. Tight tension is recommended to create neat and compact petals for your flower design.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Round 1:

  1. Begin with 1 chain stitch (ch).
  2. In the same stitch, (1 single crochet (sc) + 2 chain stitches (ch)) x 4.
  3. End the round with a slip stitch (slst) to join.

Round 2:

  1. Start with 2 chain stitches (ch).
  2. In the space created by the chains from Round 1:
    • Yarn over, pull through 2 loops, then yarn over again and pull through all loops at once.
    • Make 2 chain stitches (ch).
    • Repeat this process in the same space.
  3. Finish with 2 chain stitches (ch), and a slip stitch (slst) in the next stitch.
  4. Repeat this pattern a total of 4 times:
    • 2ch, followed by loops as described above (2 loops, pull through, 2ch, 2 loops, pull through, 2ch).
    • End with 1 slip stitch (slst).

Round 3 (Change Yarn Color):

  1. After finishing Round 2, cut the yarn and attach a different color to continue.
  2. Begin with 3 chain stitches (ch).
  3. In the same stitch:
    • Work 1 slip stitch (slst).
    • Repeat chain 3 stitches (ch) and 1 slip stitch (slst) in the same stitch.
  4. Repeat the following pattern for all spaces around the flower:
    • 3ch, 1slst → 3ch, 1slst → 3ch, 1slst.

Once completed, secure all loose ends by weaving them in and attach the flower to a hairpin or clip of your choice.
